High Line Console

Suspended between the towers of 10th Avenue, the High Line Console Table overlooks the Hudson River and the whizzing streets. Sometimes on the left, sometimes on the right, this Console Table hides a drawer.
This piece is meant to be shown as a pair facing each other like its reflection in the water.

This piece is unique, customizable, and made to order.

    Gabriel Charbit

Paris-born, New York-based designer Gabriel Charbit brings an unusually layered formation to his practice: a master's in computer science engineering, followed by cabinetmaking at École Boulle, then industrial design at ENSCI-Les Ateliers. Early experience across an architectural firm, a moulding workshop, and a furniture publisher grounded his work in material and process.

He moved to New York in 2021, a city whose skylines shaped his first collection.

His practice is driven by decontextualisation: landscapes, cultures, behaviours, and social norms are absorbed and distilled into abstract form. The resulting pieces are designed to transcend their function, creating interplay between material texture and external forces, light, space, and distance, leaving room for personal interpretation.
